Founded by acclaimed percussionist Mika Takehara and master bandoneonist/accordionist Mikael Augustson, the duo dives into a borderless sound world of dazzling virtuosity and spontaneous sonic encounters -where close, intense
interplay takes center stage. Known for their adventurous spirit, Konpeito frequently invites guest artists
for unique collaborations. Their performances captivate audiences with a vibrant fusion of acoustic and electronic textures. They have shared the stage with some of today's most exciting voices, including electronic musician and composer Lisa Nordström, violinist Klara Hellgren, pianist and electronic musician Maria Rostotski, bassist Mauritz Agnas, and visual artists Anders Wallin and
Lena Rammi. Konpeito's appearances include renowned venues such as Teater Giljotin,
Cirkus and Pildammsteatern.
